BacPac Control wins over jury of experts with its cleverly designed iPod functionality

DICOTA's BacPac Control Notebook backpack has been awarded the coveted reddot Design Award 2009, one of the most significant global design awards, for its product design (www.red-dot.de). Its cleverly designed functionality and its innovative control module for the Apple iPod® won over the jury of design experts. "We are pleased with this recognition of our spirit of innovation", confirmed a company spokesperson from DICOTA. "With the new iPod functionality we add a further dimension to Notebook cases for everyday use."

The reddot Design Award is presented annually by an internationally acclaimed jury of experts to products that have an outstanding quality of design. Approximately 1400 companies from 49 countries took part this year with a view to receiving one of the coveted awards. The criteria for these are innovation, functionality, formal quality and the ergonomics of the product amongst other things.

From the premiere to the award...
The newly acclaimed DICOTA BacPac Control has been available from retailers in sizes 12"-13.3" and 14"-15.4" and in black and grey since February 2009. In addition to its unique shoulder strap control module for nearly all Apple iPod® models, as a through and through DICOTA backpack it is of course more than suitable for everyday use: a spacious main compartment with a cushioned and removable Notebook sleeve, a separate workstation as well as an accessory pocket, which also accomodates a drink bottle, ensure maximum usablility - be it at university, in the coffee shop or at business appointments.
